In addition, annual members may use their B-card in most other BCycle cities across the countryClick here to purchase your B-gift today.

Do You Zip?

Have you heard? Car sharing has come to Kansas City! Meet Zipcar: the world's biggest car-sharing network that gives you wheels when you want them. Download the app & join: choose a car from select models located at the airport, downtown, and at the UMKC campus, and reserve for as long as you'd like. And yes, there are B-stations near most of their locations!

Like with BCycle, Zipcar membership works in other Zip cities, so your membership can travel where you travel. Click here to learn more about how Zipcar works.

Last Call: Bike Share in North Kansas City

If you live, work, or visit the City of North Kansas City, we need your input on November 17. Three new Bike Share stations will be installed there next year, and the city seeks your input about where you ride and your ideas about station locations. These will be the first stations to be installed north of the river.

BikeWalkKC Completes Bicycle Demand Analysis

BikeWalkKC is currently supporting the KCMO Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) in their efforts to craft a strategic plan for future investments in the city’s bicycle infrastructure. As part of that effort we are developing a bicycle network demand analysis to determine which streets have the highest demand for cycling. The key findings are being shared for public input to help inform the City’s future strategy for infrastructure planning and investment. 2016 in Review

You riders have had a busy year! As of November 30:

  • 16,455 trips so far in 2016 - that's almost 4,000 more than last year's total trips!
  • 3.4 million calories burned in 2016
  • 7.5 million calories burned since 2012
  • 84,530 miles ridden in 2016
  • Over 80,000 pounds of carbon offset saved
  • Three new stations added in 2016

We anticipate that all of these numbers will grow, as we are set to add 80 new BCycles and 10-15 new stations across the metro in 2017. Bike share expansion combined with the impressive infrastructure improvements in KCMO, North Kansas City, and Overland Park, will lead to increased ridership, greater environmental impact, and better connectivity for residents and visitors. Stay tuned!
